In exactly the same place where John Kennedy asked for votes, we can now vote. The County Clerk’s office is located on the very spot where the old City Hall stood on October 23, 1960, when then-Senator Kennedy barnstormed through town. Through the windows of the Pierce Center we can see the constant stream of people still honoring, 60 years later, that call to citizenship. On Downer Place between the GAR Memorial and the city parking lot.
