You Won’t Want to Miss this Year’s Winter Lights
As the City of Aurora’s official kick-off to the holiday season, this family-oriented event will be filled with merry-making moments and a sleigh full of free fun for the entire family. The event starts at 6:30 p.m., with the Holiday Parade ushering in the jolly old elf himself, Santa, along with Mrs. Claus. It’s followed by a grand fireworks display along the banks of the Fox River, sponsored by the Chicago Premium Outlets!
The twinkling lit streets of downtown Aurora will be filled with costumed characters, festive photo-ops and much more! The official City of Aurora Holiday Tree, located in front of Grand Army of the Republic Museum, will be illuminated by Mayor Irvin, and Little Miss Aurora and Little Mr. Aurora, along with an award presentation for the winners of the Downtown Window Decorating Contest.
After the fireworks, follow Santa and Mrs. Claus to Wyckwood House where they will be listening to Christmas wishes. Also, enjoy shopping, food trucks, live holiday music, Service Sanitation’s ‘The Jingle John’s’ and much more!
